The SAP^® Digital Manufacturing Cloud solution for the Manufacturing Industry from Shoubii supports paper and reel-based mills, where large jumbo reels are produced, cut and converted into many finished sizes. Our industry solutions cover reel calculation, cutting, batches, co-products and combined orders, giving the mill complete control and traceability from the original batch to the finished reel.

Cutting Stock Transfers

Move and track stock between locations as large reels are cut into smaller sizes. The related stock transfers are posted automatically when cutting is confirmed, which removes manual bookings, keeps inventory accurate at every location and gives planners and warehouse teams up-to-date visibility of the stock available for customer orders.

Fast Entry of Characteristics

Capture many reel characteristics, such as width, diameter, length and weight, quickly on a single screen. Operators enter or confirm the values for several reels together, which reduces data entry time on the production floor, lowers the chance of typing errors and keeps the quality records of every reel complete and up to date.

Process Batch

Manage production in process batches so that several orders and materials can be produced, tracked and confirmed together. The process batch holds the shared production details and links to each finished reel, which simplifies confirmations, keeps the documentation consistent and makes it easier to follow the complete production history.

Reel Calculation

Calculate reel dimensions, weights and trim losses automatically when jumbo reels are cut into customer-sized reels. The calculation helps planners choose the best cutting pattern for the orders on hand, which improves material yield, reduces waste and gives supervisors accurate expected quantities before cutting begins.

Co-Products

Record the additional products that are produced during the same production run, together with their quantities and batches. Each co-product is posted correctly to inventory and valued appropriately, so the mill has a clear picture of the total output, can sell or reuse the extra material and measures the real cost of the main product accurately.

Multi-Item Order

Handle a single production order that produces several items and sizes at the same time. Confirmations, material consumption and stock postings are managed for each item within the same order, which saves time compared with creating many separate orders and keeps the production records organised and easy to review.

Combined Order

Combine several customer orders into one production run so that the mill can optimise cutting and reduce trim waste. After production, the output is split back to each original customer order, with quantities and batches assigned correctly, which allows efficient use of machine time while customer commitments stay fully traceable.

Original Batch

Maintain a clear link to the original batch throughout cutting, rewinding and finishing. Every finished reel keeps a reference to the source reel from which it was produced, so quality information, supplier details and production history can be traced back easily whenever a customer raises a question or a quality issue is investigated.
